An opportunity to perform: “Abstract”
Formed in 2023, the team was originally called New Forest Fusion and had a very successful debut at the KFA National Competition in Nottingham’s Albert Hall – hear from one of our dancers about this adventure :Experience and insights from the dancers.
We modernised our name in 2025 to “Abstract”. The vision for Abstract is to have maximum fun whilst making performance dance accessible to everyone. We welcome new members regularly.
Our 2024 performances included a guest appearance at the prestigious KFA National Festival in Nottingham’s Albert Hall, followed by dancing at the Dance Re:Ignite Festival. Click below to see our dancers perform:

Highlights from the June 2024 Performance
A debut for our new team members: Anne Levell, Noreen Williams, Nicole Wingrove and Kate Angel-Page.
The number of performances increased again in 2025, we started with a local appearance at the KFA county rally on May 10th where we welcomed Gloria O’Reilly to our dance team and celebrated the 90th birthday of Catherine Parker (also dancing).

September 25th 2025: Bournemouth Pavilion – PDSW performing “What shoes do I wear now”
October 4th 2025: KFA National Rally, Uckfield Surrey
December 23rd 2025: Xmas Performance, Ringwood, Hampshire “The lost Elf”
